Total North Carolina miles - 111.0 Walking Days - 39

I slept a bit later this morning - about 6:15 - but I didn’t get to bed until after midnight last night. After breakfast Alyce-Kay and I headed out in her car for Athens, TN (just a few miles away from here) to do some shopping for all the things happening here this weekend. Brenda and Owen, Lois, and Kitty brought my car a little later to join us. None of us have room for all of us in one car. I left my back seats at home to make room for equipment and luggage for this journey.
We had several stores to go to, then ate lunch at the Subway in Wal-Mart. Back at the house Alyce-Kay took a short nap before she had to start work. The rest of us brought in the purchases, installed a new Pur water filter to surprise A-K. Then we helped clean the refrigerator. While the others finished the fridge, I started on my journal, and some other stuff I needed to do.
When Owen woke up from his nap, Brenda, Owen, Lois, and Kitty went to Kathleen’s (a good friend here) to visit while I worked on a job description for my driver. Alyce-Kay was working (she does medical transcription at home).
Not a lot of exciting stuff to report today, so I’m gonna get myself something to eat, and maybe relax for a bit. I could use that.
