Sunday, our day of rest. What a blessing we had today at the
little church that God led us to in Aberdeen, MD. It is the
Carsins Run Baptist Church, and Rev. Jim Wright is the pastor.
We were warmly greeted by many before the service began, and
introduced during the service.
They were beginning revival services today, so the speaker was
Rev. Charlie McCoy. He and Rev. Lloyd Day will be sharing the
speaking for this time of revival at their church. Rev. McCoy
preached a powerful message this morning on The Benefits of
Being A Christian. I wish I could share the power that we felt in
this service, but just know it was great.
Following the service we joined the others at a dinner of
appreciation for the pastor in their fellowship hall. There we got
to visit with many of the congregation and get pictures of some
as well. I had hoped to go back tonight, but I have too much to
do to make it possible.
This afternoon I downloaded my pictures and e-mailed a few of
them to one of the pastors at Bonny’s church back in
Hackettstown, NJ. He wanted to get reports and pictures from us
to share with the youth and others there.
I worked on our itinerary for travel home from October 19 to
November 22 (more or less). This is something I needed to do
for my book agent who is trying to line up some things for me
on the way home. That got sent off to him and to Dave.
Then this journal, and now I’ve got to make a few phone calls,
and write some thank you notes. While I do that Bonny can use
the computer to get her e-mail.
