Today has been busy with finishing touches on the presentation
for this week, getting the new antenna installed on the van, and
getting Dave at the airport!
It’s good to get this presentation put together. I had some trouble
with the computer shutting down on me a few times, so I made
sure I saved it after each addition or change. Now it’s done, and
I think it will work out well.
The auto place called to say my antenna was in, so while
housekeeping cleaned my room I took Lady Mag over to get it
installed. I ate lunch at IHOP while they did that, then back to
work. At last I can listen to the radio in the van again.
Then at about 4:15 p m I headed out to the Newark airport to
pick up Dave. I got in and parked (the Newark airport doesn’t
seem to have a cell-phone parking lot), then went on inside to
meet him. It’s an easy walk into the airport. I looked at the
monitor to see if his plane was on time. It told me that the 5:10
time was now 4:58. I looked at my watch - 4:58. Of course, it
took awhile from landing to get to the gate, and get the
passengers off. But before long I saw him coming, and walked
up to greet him. After three months apart it is so good to be
together again.
We got his suitcase, then headed back to the motel, stopping at
The Longhorn Steak House Restaurant for dinner just across and
down a bit from our motel. We had a great dinner, and so
enjoyed our waitress and the manager.
And that’s it for tonight folks!
